Finding The Water Mill:

Coming from Strachur, take the A886 to Colintraive Bute for approx 10 miles and watch out for the Glendaruel Caravan Park Sign. Approx 2 miles further on, turn right at the Brown Kilmodan Stones Sign and at the bottom of the hill, take the first Right, over the bridge approx 1½ miles along a single track road - the Watermill will be on your left.

If you have sat-nav, it will take you Right at the sign for Home Farm Cottages, this is a single track road which you will drive for approx 4 miles (part of the Cowal Way Walk) - the Watermill will be on your right.

Coming from Bute carry on the A886 till you come to the Clachan of Glendaruel, also Historic Scotland Sign & Kilmodan Stones, turn left here onto single track road where in 200 metres you will pass the old Glendaruel Hotel on your left, take the second left, over the bridge and drive for 1½ miles along this single track road (part of the Cowal Way Walk) - you will come to the Watermill on your left.
